Welcome to the Rebranded Teacher Podcast. My name is Lauren Fulton. I'm a full-time teacher author and seller on Teachers by Teachers, and I help other teacher entrepreneurs grow their TPT businesses in a way that's purposeful and sustainable. Let's talk about seven practical strategies that you can use to skyrocket your sales in 2026 and scale to$500 months. And that's consistent$500 months. In this episode, we are going to be talking about practical ways to break out of that one to$200 a month threshold and move on up into that next level where you're consistently earning a significant amount of money on TPT. I mean,$500 a month is nothing to sneeze at, and it's a really big milestone for TPT sellers. And so we want to get you there and we want to get you to stay there consistently until we get to the next milestone of like$1,000 a month, right? So whether you have just started on TPT and you've only made a few sales or you've been selling on TPT a while and you are stuck at a threshold, or let's say you've already scaled beyond$500 a month, these practical strategies can help take your business to the next level. And there are things that you can easily implement on your own. Let's talk about strategy number one. So strategy number one comes from the fact that we really only get an increase in views from three things that's traffic, conversion, and retention. So I can only get views from increasing my traffic, increasing my conversion rate, or increasing my customer retention, keeping people come back, coming back for more. So tip number one would fall into that traffic bracket. I have to have a way to drive traffic to my business or to drive traffic to my products that I've created and posted on TPT. So what I really want to make sure I have is an email list. And I know some of you guys are so sick about hearing email list, email list, email list. And some of you are like, I have an email list and it's not even working. Well, that's a whole other ball game right there in and of itself. And I'm gonna tell you that if you fall into that camp, then you want to stick around because I've got some things that you need in this video. But you need to start an email list. So if you've not started an email list, I recommend checking out this recent video of mine where I talk about how to get started with email marketing, step-by-step guide. You'll find all the info that you need in there. But it's honestly it's pretty simple and it's not as scary as a lot of people think it is. So definitely check that video out. But basically, you need to have a way to consistently drive traffic to your TPT store. And you don't have to have a massive email audience to do this. Even just getting started now can help kind of set you up for growth long term. But I would go ahead and get your email list going. And then once you've got your email list started, you've got your marketing platform all set up, you've got everything all ready to go. I would then move on to strategy number two. So, number one is start an email list if you haven't already. So get everything started, get everything set up, get your first lead magnet created, all of that good stuff. And if you're listening via podcast, then you can find the link to that episode down inside the description as well. So we're gonna get that email list started. That is gonna be the first thing that we're gonna do. And we're gonna spend a significant amount of 2026 working on growing that email list. Again, there are specific strategies and step-by-step guide in that video that is linked down below. So if you don't know what I'm talking about, you definitely want to check that out. The second strategy that I'm gonna have pertaining to views is going to be to search engine optimize my listings. I am gonna hit SEO hard in 2026. I am making sure that all of my resources are search engine optimized so that I'm getting as much traffic as possible from the TPT search engine. This is a top priority if I want to get to$500 a month. Because if no one can find my resources on TPT, then I am losing so much free advertisement. And this is especially important for me if I don't have my own audience to market to yet. So as I'm growing that email list and as I'm working on step number one, kind of build my audience off of TPT, search engine optimization is super key. The third strategy that I'm gonna implement is I'm actually gonna seek help in 2026. I'm not gonna try to do this alone. So when we're talking about like search engine optimization, building an email list, doing all of those things, these are things that take time and expertise to master. If I am not a master at search engine optimization, I'm not going to spend hours and days and weeks of my time search engine optimizing my resources when I don't know what I'm doing. So I'm gonna take a class, I'm gonna join a course, I'm gonna join a membership, I'm gonna do something to get some feedback. I'm going to hire a coach, I'm gonna do something to make sure that I know what I'm doing before I spend all of that time search engine optimizing my resources. Same for email. If I feel like a fish out of water and I have no clue how to grow my email list, then I'm gonna actually seek help on that and I'm not just going to try to flounder around until I figure it out and waste a whole bunch of time. This is one of those things that I feel like I learned way too late in the game, is that having someone help you can make a huge difference in your growth pattern. It can interrupt that stagnated growth pattern that you've had for years. Typically, when I invest in learning something, and whether that's through a course or through a membership, usually it's through coaching. Whenever I've invested in that, I've made my money back 10 times. So I know it can be really scary to put that investment in. But when you put in the investment and then you put into practice what you learn, if you are careful with what you're investing in, you're not just purchasing a whole bunch of random courses, but when you're purposeful with your investment, then you can make that money back and so much more. It can just skyrocket your growth. So that's strategy number three. So number one, start growing your email list. Number two, you want to make sure that you are prioritizing search engine optimization in 2026. And number three, you want to make sure that you are investing in growth. So actually learning the things, whether that's email, search engine optimization, or some of the other things that we're gonna talk about today, or some of the other strategies that we're gonna talk about, you wanna make sure that you're actually implementing these things right and that you are not wasting your time. So you want to start investing in your growth by hiring a coach, joining a membership, taking a course, something like that. So you know something along those lines, so that you know what you're doing. Number four, I really wanna focus on conversion rate. So with number four, I want to make sure that I'm looping in conversion rates. There are three levers in your business for growing your revenue that's traffic, conversion, and retention. So we've kind of talked about a couple of strategies for traffic. Now we're gonna talk about conversion rate. So I wanna make sure that my previews are actually doing their job. So I'm gonna take a deep dive into my data and I'm gonna look at which resources have the highest conversion rate. So I'm gonna take a look at my data and I'm gonna see among the resources where I have cumulatively at least 300 views on that product, I wanna see what my conversion rate is for those resources. Now, if I have less than 300 views, that data is really not gonna be accurate enough for me to go off of. So I'm just looking at those resources that have 300 views or more. And that could be all time, it could be last month, it could be the last year, it doesn't matter, but 300 cumulative reviews and see what the conversion rate is on those resources. And I'm gonna look for opportunities where I can increase conversion rate. And if I find an opportunity in a resource that let's say I have one partner pack activity that has 300 views and I see, like, oh, it's a$4 resource and my conversion rate is, you know, 12%, there's definitely opportunity to improve that conversion rate 100%. So then I'm gonna say, even though other resources in that product line may not have 300 views, if they all have the same preview template, then if I could improve the conversion rate for that product by improving the preview, then I can take that new preview template that I've optimized that has higher conversion rate, and I can apply it to the rest of the products in that product line, assuming that if the changes helped the resource, that one resource that's doing well enough that I can get data on it, then it will help those other resources as well. When I improve the conversion rate, this obviously is going to lead to more sales. And this is also when I start to get more sales on that, that's gonna lead ultimately to more views on TPT because the TPT search engine algorithm is going to prioritize resources with a higher conversion rate because they lead to more sales and it makes TPT more money. So I definitely wanna make sure that my resources are converting. So I'm gonna spend some time looking at my conversion rates and digging into my previews and making sure that I have really high converting previews. Number five, I really want to start to think about customer retention. I want my customers to come back and make multiple purchases for me. So I'm gonna take a look at my store and I'm gonna look at the top products that are selling. From those top products that are selling, do I have multiple other resources that are similar to that product in my store for buyers to choose from? So, for example, in my newer store, my hobby store, my best seller is a set of dinosaur worksheets. And I only have two other resources that are in that same product line, even though that's my best seller. So that is a missed opportunity for customer retention, where if I can get a buyer or if a buyer comes and they purchase this big set of worksheets and they see that I have more just like it, they're more likely to purchase more on the spot or to follow my store and to come back when they're finished with that one set of dino worksheets to get more resources that are like it from my store because they really enjoyed them. But if I don't have much or anything else to choose from that's similar to it in my store, then they're not gonna come back. They're probably not gonna follow my store. And that's gonna hurt my sales long term. So I really want to think about that customer retention and getting buyers to come back for more. So looking for gaps in my store. So looking for gaps among my products and trying to fill gaps rather than just create new resources willy-nilly and say, okay, I have this one resource that's doing really well. How can I duplicate that success? How can I replicate that success? And how can I provide more options to the buyers who really love that product so they can get more of what they love, which is gonna keep them coming back time and time again. Number six, I am going to start looking for opportunities for upsell. This is going to increase my conversion rate, it's gonna increase my customer retention by having them purchase more from me in that one single trip, which is going to help build a longer lasting relationship because they've had more exposure to me and more exposure to my brand and stronger love for my products now because they purchased more for me. So this is gonna help me foster that sort of long-term relationship with them, but also make the most that I can out of each transaction. So I'm gonna look for ways to get buyers to purchase more than one product from me, whether that's through exposing them to other product lines within my store by maybe saying, if you really like this set of dino worksheets, then you're also going to love this dinosaur activity and encouraging them to purchase both, or encouraging them to go ahead and purchase an entire bundle, go ahead and get a year of worksheets and all of these different themes at this discounted price. So whether I do that through bundling or whether I do that through trying to expose them to other resources that they may love within my store, I'm gonna try to focus on getting them to purchase more for me. Now, two practical ways that I can do this is I can include an upsell page within my preview. So I can have a page at the end of my PDF preview that essentially says, if you love this product, you may also really love this, or want to say 30% and go ahead and purchase the entire year or take care of the entire year. You can do that right here and pointing them to the bundle. So focusing on advertisements to my product previews to get them to purchase more from me and to get them interested in other products in my store is a really great strategy to increase customer retention in the long term, but in the short term to increase the number of units that each buyer is purchasing when they come to my store, which is going to help improve my bottom line. Another way that I can do this is I can add those same advertisements in my product description by linking to those products. If you love this product, this pairs perfectly with this resource over here and then linking to that product. Or if you want to save 30% and get the entire year across the entire year of warmups off your shopping list, you can go here. So you can put that in your product description and you can put it in your preview. Now, number seven is a really simple one. This is one that you can take care of right now. You can knock it off your to-do list immediately.
